FORECAST SUMMARY
The weather is calm this week.
But, we started the cloudy workweek: it’s a gray start to Monday morning.
We will start to see some rays of sunlight through the clouds at lunchtime, and then we will be more sunny in the late afternoon.
Look for a beautiful sunset at 4:55 pm on Monday.
As we are cloudy for half the day, our highs will be in our thirties on Monday.
So, the sky is clear on Monday night and we are sunny on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Because we have a sunny day on Tuesday, we will be back at 40. So, we will be in the mid-40s on Thursday.
A “softer” air comes from the south to take us to 40 years old. Air normally flows from the south before a cold front, and on Friday, we have that cold front.
As Friday afternoon passes, it will be cloudy. The afternoon clouds bring our maxims back to 40 degrees.
It’s a weak cold front, so we’ll be dry as it crosses.
So, we are back at 30 for the weekend, as we feel the effects of the cold front.
On Saturday, we will be cloudy again in the afternoon. These clouds are of the lake effect. No, we are not taking snow. But western and central PA does. When the air gets here, it will have dropped its snow. So, we just caught the clouds, instead, Saturday afternoon.
It is very airy on Friday and Saturday, so this will add an extra chill to the air.
We started well on Sunday, but lost the wind in the afternoon. Enjoy sunny skies all day.
On Monday of next week (Martin Luther King Jr. day), it gets even colder. You can only say cold enough for snow …
Warning: the future radars we use to forecast will have a snowstorm forecast for the beginning of the January 18 work week.
Too early to appoint a day (January 18th to 20th) or if it will happen, but they have been consistent with a snowstorm in the forecast for the beginning of the work week, next week. So, we’ll keep an eye on it and let you know if it looks like reality.
