Cold War Black Ops COD crossbow removed, unlock progress reset

Players who took advantage of the unintended early availability of a beautiful beast in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War the multiplayer will see the progress to unlock it restarted whenever Treyarch brings it back later.

Although players who purchased Shadow Hunter R1 projects for real money (1,200 COD points, usually purchased for $ 10) have their purchases refunded, anyone who was grinding to acquire it will have to start all over again, and they are quite irritated by this.

“I was on 14/15,” said Redditor Xytoup on Thursday night, after Activision announced was to take the gun out of the game. Shadowhunter R1 was unlocked by obtaining three death medals for one shot, in 15 different multiplayer matches, using a weapon without accessories.

“I will uninstall the game if they do not save the progress of my challenge,” added Xytoup. “I’m not kidding, they ruin everything.”

Shadowhunter R1’s Beast was found in a package early on March 18, which puzzled players, as the latest patch notes did not mention the weapon or its availability. The Shadowhunter was not usable in War zone, The free Battle Royale mode of Call of Duty, but was available at Black Ops Cold War multiplayer, and CoD fans worked to unlock it there.

“I spent the entire afternoon of my free time unlocking the damn thing,” muttered Trashboat77. “And then I started to level. If that doesn’t reflect when he decides to come back, I’m uninstalling the game. It is no use working to unlock or buy anything when it can just be pulled out from under your feet at any time.

“This is absolutely ridiculous,” continued Trashboat77. “I can’t even reply to the tweet, because they KNOW it’s going to be a shit storm.”

Activision did not say when Shadowhunter R1 would return to the game.
