CofC warns of COVID peak, ‘zero tolerance’ towards large meetings | 103.5 WEZL

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – The College of Charleston sent a warning message to the campus community on Saturday about the high transmission rates for COVID-19 over the past three days.

“There were several reports of large, non-socially distant and unmasked meetings throughout the day,” said the message, posted on the college’s Twitter account. States. “There is no tolerance for violating CofC’s COVID-19 protocols.”

The post states that the college “will take all necessary steps” to keep the campus community safe. These actions may include “closing university residences and the campus”, says the post.
