CoD: Black Ops Cold War zombies head to Vietnam with Firebase Z map

Treyarch finally unveiled the latest zombie map for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and that will send players to the jungles of Vietnam. After weeks of teasers, the developer showed the first trailer for the map on Thursday.

The new map will be called Firebase Z and is already getting ready to change a little bit from the other Black Ops Cold War map. Along with the common zombies that players are used to seeing, Firebase Z will also include a new type of boss zombies. that will likely appear in specific rounds.

The trailer shows a small band of special forces soldiers who are transported through a Dark Aether portal to a zombie nightmare. From there, the trailer turns into a zombie killing montage showing some of the locations of Firebase Z. It looks like the map will be very large and will cover most of a small military outpost. The trailer also ends with the arrival of a huge zombie cyclops that shoots a laser at his eyes, which appears to be one of the most threatening enemies included in a zombie map.

The trailer also gives us a brief glimpse of some of the new weapons that will be offered on the map, including an assault rifle that appears to be firing some type of energy grenade. Of course, there will also be many options for Pack-A-Punch, which should return here, and there will definitely be another tricky Easter egg for players to sink their teeth into when the map is actually released.

For more information on Firebase Z, we will have to wait until Treyarch is ready to show more or until the map is actually released on February 4th. The map will be available to all players on all consoles free of charge.
