Cocaine-soaked cereals disguised as frozen corn flakes seized by federal authorities in Cincinnati, Ohio

CINCINNATI, Ohio – A drug dog from US customs alerted authorities to a shipment of breakfast cereals that were frozen with cocaine instead of sugar.

Federal authorities confiscated 44 pounds. of cocaine disguised as sugar in frozen corn flakes in Cincinnati last Saturday.

US Customs and Border Protection agents said the market value was $ 2.8 million.

The shipment originated in Peru and was on its way to a private residence in Hong Kong before being seized by American authorities.

Cincinnati port director Richard Gillespie said that smugglers now hide narcotics in almost everything.
