We looked away from Twitter for a minute – one minute! – to make * dinner ** last night, and suddenly everyone is talking about a little Cocaine Bear. Is it a loose animal in Los Feliz? A long-forgotten Conan he bit? Even better: it’s an upcoming suspense, based on a true story, entitled Cocaine Bear. Phil Lord and Chris Miller are ready to produce Cocaine Bear, and THE Hollywood Reporter announced that Elizabeth Banks will direct Cocaine Bear. What true story is the movie Cocaine bear about? Cocaine bear it is based on a 1985 incident in Kentucky, when a 75-kilogram black bear ate more than 70 kilograms of cocaine that was hidden in a backpack. “The bear was later found dead due to an apparent drug overdose,” according to THR. Cocaine bear was previously set to be directed by the Ready or Not team. No word yet on who will be cast as the namesake Cocaine bear, but it must be Bart the Bear 2, right? That guy is in everything.
