“We are honored to welcome Coastal Carolina and welcome last year’s Cure Bowl Champion Liberty to the FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl. This is the first classified Cure Bowl match in our six-year history and we have an undefeated Carolina Coastal ranked 9th and a Liberty with a ranked 23rd defeat, ”said Alan Gooch, Executive Director and CEO of the Orlando Sports Foundation. “This is a great match, and in six days we will see these two great teams battling at Camping World Stadium. The match takes the bowl to another level, however, the Cure Bowl’s mission to bring teams together to find a cure for cancer always remains the same. ”“ When our university made the choice to join the elite of college football, obviously the main objective was to play a post-season bowling game, ”said Coastal AD Matt Hogue in a statement. “We are excited to celebrate this milestone by accepting an invitation to culminate our memorable season in Orlando at the FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl and help promote the bowl’s important mission.”
