Liberal CNN hosts Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo passionately defended Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday night, criticizing critics of her emotional account of what the New York Democrat claimed she experienced on January 6 during the tragic Capitol rebellion.
Ocasio-Cortez told his Instagram followers this week that he thought he was going to die after hearing knocking outside his office – but she later found out it was a policeman knocking on the door.

Liberal CNN hosts Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon passionately defended Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday night.
Many critics also pointed out that Ocasio-Cortez was not inside the main Capitol building when protesters broke into. As a result, some have accused the “Squad” leader of progressive Democrats of exaggerating or fabricating his claim.
CNN presenters Lemon and Cuomo, who regularly leave the script during their night pass, vehemently allied themselves with Ocasio-Cortez.

“I don’t understand how this is a story. How could she know who was on the other side of the door? How could she know how many people were on the other side of the door? This has nothing to do with anything AOC or whatever. , but I kept trying to find out how the people who were really involved in that siege, and all the chaos, could be criticizing someone who was involved in it, “said Lemon.
“She was explaining how, what she thought was going on in her particular situation.”
Lemon called the criticisms “blatant partisanship and a distraction for Marjorie Taylor Greene, who dominated CNN’s coverage as the network seeks a new villain with President Trump out of office.
“They are chasing one of the Democrats because the Democrats are chasing one of them,” added Cuomo, saying that conservatives want to “frame the Democrats” for the tragic Capitol mutiny.

“It’s all bullshit,” said Cuomo, noting that he is in a similar situation to Ocasio-Cortez.
“I lived in a situation like this and it doesn’t have to be real, the threat, for you to believe it is imminent,” said Cuomo as Lemon added, “It’s what you believe.”
Deputy Nancy Mace, RS.C., rejected Ocasio-Cortez’s account of what happened inside the Cannon House office building.
“My office is two doors away from the AOC. At no time during the January 6 events, did any rowdy or insurrectional walk down the halls where our offices are located,” she said on Thursday in “America Reports”.
