CNN continues to face a credibility crisis.
Again … left-wing anchor Brian Stelter, along with many other CNN ‘journalists’, covered New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
When PolitiFact deflected Governor Cuomo’s blame for his role in thousands of deaths in nursing homes in the state, citing the lack of “hard evidence” that his controversial mandate was the main culprit, Stelter offered no resistance.
The left-wing analyst at CNN did not mention Cuomo’s alleged cover-up of the worrying death toll, which led to an FBI investigation into bipartisan calls to remove him from his emergency powers.
Stelter and the governor’s brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, (to name a few) made an unprecedented effort to minimize and deflect the Democrat’s controversies, with the far-left network giving their developments little or no time to antenna – and giving Chris Cuomo free to conduct friendly and comical interviews with the governor plagued by the scandal.
The bomb’s development in the New York Democrat scandal emerged last week, when an Albany-based watchdog group directly linked Cuomo’s order to more than 1,000 additional resident deaths. The death toll in the state among nursing home residents has exceeded 15,000 since the pandemic began.
PolitiFact Chief Editor Angie Drobnic Holan told CNN in-house analyst Stelter on Sunday that Cuomo’s guideline for nursing homes to accept patients who had or were suspected of having COVID-19 probably didn’t make a difference significant increase in COVID deaths. “
POLITIFACT CONTINUES DEFLECTING GUILT IN CUOMO’S NURSING HOME NURSING SCANDAL
“I think the situation is really complicated,” Holan told the host of “Reliable Sources”. “There are certainly things to criticize about how the government handled the data, but the crux of the issue goes back to last year, when the state was asking COVID patients who were ready to be discharged from the hospital, [and] we don’t see any concrete evidence that it made a significant difference in COVID’s deaths. “
Holon echoed Cuomo’s claim that the worrying rate of COVID in care centers for the elderly was due in large part to transmission between staff and visitors. Once again, left-wing “journalist” Stelter decided not to question.
“If you look at the statistics, you will see that New York has the same numbers as other states in the country, and the problem was the employees of nursing homes who did not realize that they were bringing COVID-19 to nursing homes, so it is a situation really complicated, “said Holon. “There are no clear answers here.”

After weeks of silence, Stelter finally addressed the controversy in his program last week, after ignoring a New York Post report revealing that a top Cuomo aide admitted to Democratic lawmakers that the government had withheld data to avoid federal scrutiny.
