The exclusive audio chat app for Clubhouse guests is sweetening the deal for breeders, offering a direct payment option that would allow them to harvest 100% of the rewards.

On a Monday blog post, The Clubhouse announced that partner with payment processing startup Stripe offer direct payments in the app for the first time, in order to align the platform with its fundamental principlesple put creators first.

Our goal is to help creators build community, audience and impact ”, says the blog post. And as the Clubhouse continues to grow, it is important for us to align our business model with that of the creators, helping them to earn money and prosper on the platform. “

Although not all breeders are eligible to receive payments immediately – the Clubhouse says it will begin to distribute payments in waves “Starting with a small test group”- apparently 100% of those payments will actually go to the creators themselves, with the Clubhouse refusing to receive a share of the profits.

The monetization tool will be the first built directly on the application’s infrastructure and will allow users to access the profile of the creator of their choice and opt for “Send money”, which will trigger a prompt to enter credit or debit card information. Once activated – and after paying the credit card processing fee – users will be able to send direct money transfers to the creator of their choice, which will be processed through Stripe.

The announcement appears to be part of a larger initiative to encourage would be creators and influencers, which the Clubhouse has been trying to conquer en masse. In March, the platform announced a new accelerator program called “Clubhouse Creator First,” which would be “support and equip 20 creators with the resources they need to bring their ideas and creativity to life ”, says a tweet.

Briefly, Clubhouse – invite only social network that has persecution of influence and exclusivity built into its premise – needs to be filled by chat influencers to thrive and is creating an incentive package to keep them users in the app. EWwith dozens of copycat platforms already chewing to steal the Clubhouse part, you will need many good tricks up your sleeve to make sure you don’t lose valuable talent to any number of competitors.
