Close to freezing temperatures the next few nights before a hotter week!

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – After a cold start to the 30s, temperatures will warm up between mid and over 50 degrees this afternoon. The big difference from yesterday to today is that we will see a lot of sun thanks to the high pressure. With high pressure overload, temperatures will drop to 30 degrees overnight. A FREEZE WATCH was posted for most of the area by Monday morning, temperatures are expected to be close to or below freezing. Be sure to take protective measures for sensitive vegetation. Monday night will also experience near-freezing casualties, so frost and freezing conditions are likely again. The high pressure area will remain suspended for the rest of the week. Temperatures will heat up every day, from 60 degrees on Tuesday to mid-degrees and higher degrees at the end of the week.
