Clint Frazier reacts to erroneous rumors of Yankees-Reds negotiations

It would not be an off-season for the MLB without the Yankees outfielder, Clint Frazier, being the subject of commercial rumors.

It happened at the weekend, when erroneous reports indicated that the Yankees had sent Frazier, along with third baseman Miguel Andujar, to the Reds for star pitcher Luis Castillo.

Both teams denied the reports.

The 26-year-old also, while tweeting the scene full of profanity “I’m not leaving” from the 2013 film “Wolf of Wall Street”, in which the poor stockbroker Jordan Belfort, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, says he will not leave his company, despite an investigation from the FBI.

Unlike previous seasons, when his much-maligned defense and controversial comments led to commercial speculation, Frazier may have reason to be confident about staying in the Bronx.

Originally acquired by the Yankees as a highly praised candidate five years ago, Frazier played a crucial role for the club during last season’s 60-game sprint, while improving his defense to the point that he was named a Gold Glove finalist. With Giancarlo Stanton probably being transferred to DH and veteran Brett Gardner still a free agent, Frazier could potentially start alongside Aaron Judge next season.

On Friday, the Yankees and Frazier agreed to a $ 2.1 million one-year contract to avoid arbitration.
