CONNECTICUT – There is growing confidence that a major snowstorm will affect Connecticut on Monday and Tuesday of next week and the National Weather Service is already saying that this storm has the potential to decrease the accumulation of six inches of snow.
The weather service, in a dangerous meteorological perspective, is already sounding the alarm about a possible major snowstorm for Connecticut early next week. Of course, the storm is at least four days old and a lot can change, but this could be our first big winter storm in 2021.
The weather service said: “There is a possibility that a coastal storm will bring 6 or more inches of snow into the night area from Sunday until Tuesday. In addition, strong northeast winds, coastal floods and beach erosion will be possible. a lot of uncertainty remains with the low road and time to be specific with the details. “
Essentially, the weather service is saying that we must be prepared for a big winter storm and many things can change between Thursday and Monday.
Before we arrive on Monday, we will have to deal with extremely cold weather and strong gusts of wind.
A wind chill alert was issued for Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties from midnight until noon on Friday. Chills can reach 20 degrees below zero, warns the weather service.

“The thermal sensation for tonight and tomorrow will be zero to 20 ° below zero!” Simmons shared on social media. “The brutal cold lasts until Saturday morning, so we focus on a storm early next week that can give us snow or snow and a mix!”
