Client Vandalizes Antelope Wingstop for Wrong Order – CBS Sacramento

ANTELOPE (CBS13) – A violent reaction to a restaurant order led to chaos at a Wingstop in Antelope over the weekend.

The wings were supposed to be fiery – not the customers – but the cell phone video shows a man crazy for wings getting upset about his order. In a video captured by a witness, you can hear a man saying, “I don’t want the food, I don’t have time to wait for the food again, so what are we going to do?”

You can hear an employee say to the man, “Or you can have the food redone and get on with your day and stop yelling at my other manager, because no, it’s unnecessary.”

Tharon Trujillo, a shop customer at the time, recorded the man grabbing the cash register and throwing it on the floor twice before throwing it out the window.

“I was telling him to calm down. I said, ‘you don’t want to go to jail, you don’t want to go to jail’ ”, said Trujillo

Trujillo said he heard the man say that the restaurant gave him the wrong order twice. When the record came in through the window, he said he was surrounded by glass.

“Definitely when I saw it I was a little shaken, they [employees] were definitely shaken back, the ladies behind were definitely shaken, and they were like thanks for staying. It is definitely not what you see every day, ”he said.

The manager of the Wingstop restaurant said the man claimed he was missing several wings and wanted a refund, which she says is not allowed under the company’s online ordering policy.

Restaurant patrons who have had problems with orders in the past say they were surprised by the reaction.

“It is definitely shocking and rewarding for five wings. But I understand your anger, definitely not your actions, ”said client Jason Prado.

His wife Christina Prado, also shocked by the video, said she feels bad for employees.

“This is very sad and unfortunate,” she said. “I feel bad for society. I think the pandemic is hitting people’s heads. “

Jennifer Johnson, who lives in the area, believes “starving” or not, the destruction goes too far.

“This is crazy, I mean the wings are important, believe me. I love to eat, but it’s not important, ”said Johnson. “I have three children and we go out all the time. Our orders are always confusing, guess what? You hug him. “

Witnesses say the man went out the door and left after breaking the window.

The ordeal of the order is now costing a potentially high price. The store manager told CBS13 that it cost about $ 6,000 to replace the computer-operated cash register and that they are still waiting for a quote to fix the window.

Anything over $ 950 is considered criminal vandalism. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the damage qualifies them to issue an arrest warrant for the man.
