Clark County mass vaccination appointments open at noon on Sunday

Consultations for next week at the Clark County COVID-19 mass vaccination site will open at noon on Sunday.

Those who are eligible to be vaccinated can try to make an appointment here.

At the moment, anyone aged 65 and over is eligible for vaccination, as well as anyone aged 50 and over who lives in a multigenerational family. Health care professionals, those living in elderly care centers and emergency medical personnel are also eligible for vaccination. To find out if you are eligible, you can visit the state’s Phase Finder tool.

If you need help scheduling a meeting, you can call the COVID-19 hotline at 1-800-525-0127 and press #. Language assistance is available. Usually, the wait for the hotline is long.

Approximately 800 consultations are available each day at the mass vaccination site located at the Clark County Event Center at Fairgrounds near Ridgefield. The venue is open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, and from 9 am to 3 pm, on Saturdays.

In the first two weeks, 6,702 people received the vaccine dose on the spot. This is well above the originally expected rate of 500 vaccinations per day.

Many residents had problems with the consultation portal to schedule vaccines, such as failures, freezes or failures on the website.

If you are unable to make an appointment at the fairgrounds, you can browse other locations through the Department of Health website. Many locations have little supply of vaccine and it is difficult to make an appointment.

Some eligible people may have to wait several weeks for the vaccine to be injected.
