Clare Crawley is “devastated” after her breakup with “Bachelorette” contestant Dale Moss.
In a message posted on Instagram on Thursday, Crawley, 39, said that “she was informed of a ‘mutual’ statement at the same time as all of you”, but “it took some time to really digest this”.
“Speaking for me, my intentions with this relationship have always been very clear, so the truth is that I am devastated,” she said.
On Tuesday, Moss – whose rowdy romance with Crawley resulted in an engagement in the 16th season of “The Bachelorette” last year – confirmed that the two had split up.
“I wanted to share with you everything that Clare and I decided to go our separate ways,” Moss, a former NFL player, 32, posted on Instagram at the time.
“We appreciate the love and support we have received from so many people, but this is the healthiest decision for both of us at the moment,” he continued.
Crawley said on Thursday “this is not what I expected or expected and I am still trying to process it.
“2020 was a yearlong hell, with greed, battling severe post-show anxiety, balancing a new public relationship, while slowly losing my mom,” Crawley continued. “It hasn’t been the ideal circumstances, but it is the right life. He was looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel. “
Crawley, who was once engaged to Benoit Beausejour-Savard, formerly of The Bachelor Winter Games, added that her relationship with Moss “was not perfect”, but that she was “genuinely invested with all my heart”.
“I may not have all the answers, but I know that – I will continue to show up, keep my word and commit to love,” concluded Crawley.

In addition to the most recent season of “The Bachelorette”, Crawley appeared on “The Bachelor” in 2014, and later joined the cast of “Bachelor in Paradise” in the first and second seasons. She also competed at the 2018 Bachelor Winter Games.
