Ciara and Russell Wilson have fun with their kids in matching festive aprons as she expresses her gratitude for “joy, family and love” for the New Year

Ciara and her husband Russel Wilson were feeling ‘thankful’ when they called in 2021.

The 35-year-old singer was Dick Clark’s Rockin ‘Eve host last night in Los Angeles, but was thinking about her family when posting some Christmas photos.

In the video, the couple and their children, Sienna, three, Win, five, and Ciara’s eldest, Zahir do Futuro, six, wore matching plaid aprons while staying in the kitchen and making faces.

The family wore a turtleneck under their aprons while posing in a festive setting that featured a wreath and some Christmas presents.

She wrote, ‘Grateful for Laughter, Joy, Family & Love. Hopeful for a better New Year for the World! Happy New Year to everybody!’

They made an animated display while Wilson, 32, led the countdown before the photo poses while making a ‘scary face’.

Doing the poses while making some preparations to bake, Ciara joked ‘this is not a Merry Christmas’, while pretending to beat herself with spatulas.

Wilson also used social media to express his ideas about the new year, while looking at the challenges of 2020.

He shared a family portrait when he wrote: ‘2020 … brought challenges. Obstacles … opportunities to change … great losses of loved ones come and go … as well as new life.

He continued, ‘2021 … I don’t know what you are going to bring … but for my family we will continue to believe that love is the way!’

Ciara seemed to have left her family at home last night while having a virtual New Year’s Eve party on the west coast alongside Ryan Seacrest, who was live from Times Square.

She played drop ball with many fun performances, including Megan Thee Stallion, Miley Cyrus, Maluma and Doja Cat.

Hitmaker Goodies showcased his icy blue hair and twerking skills in a black snakeskin suit that had a little sparkle in it.

Earlier this week, she and her best friend Vanessa Bryant took their children on a ski trip in Montana, where Ciara and her children learned to ski for the first time, as she said, although she was discovering it was’ a lot of fun. ‘
