NBA Boom / Bust Tool
In all DFS sports, being able to compare a player’s strength each day with his popularity is the key to success. In the NBA, correlations between players are less valuable, so the strength of each play can be considered individually. For each player, I calculate the standard deviation based on a variety of factors and use this to calculate the ceiling (75th percentile performance), the floor (25th percentile performance) and the likelihood that they will burst (not reaching the value) or explode (value plus 10 points). By combining these metrics, you will be able to gain an advantage over everyone by identifying sub-owner or sub-owner players.
NBA Property Projections
The initial percentages of ownership are posted daily at 1 pm EST and are updated every two hours throughout the day, with a final update taking place 30 minutes before the block. Note that last-minute injury reports will affect not only the property of the injured players or their substitutes, but may affect the construction of the overall squad and, therefore, all other players on the board.
