Christina Ricci obtains restraining order against husband after alleging ‘abuse’: reports

Christina Ricci received a restraining order from a judge after alleging that her ex-husband James Heerdegen was abusive to her, according to reports.

The former child actress, now 40, filed for divorce from Heerdegen, a Hollywood producer, six months ago, alleging irreconcilable differences.

The order protects Heerdegen from making physical contact with Ricci. He forces Heerdegen to stay within 100 meters of the actress and that he cannot be entitled to visitation with the couple’s son, Freddie, 6 years old. He also orders him to stay away from the family dog, reports People.

Ricci’s lawyer and representative did not immediately respond to Fox News’s requests for comment.

Heerdegen “unequivocally denies all allegations of abuse that occurred in 2020,” his lawyer Larry Bakman told TMZ.

Bakman – who did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment – said he plans to file a restraining order against Ricci “detailing his abusive behavior fueled by alcohol and drugs”.

“Her papers will also include documentation that Ms. Ricci advised the police in December 2019 that there were no previous incidents of domestic violence between the couple, calling into question their credibility,” added Bakman.

EX-CHILD EX-STAR CHRISTINA RICCI SAYS IT IS ‘ABUSE’ TO MAKE YOUR CHILD FAMOUS

According to People, the “Casper” star claimed in a lawsuit that he suffered “severe physical and emotional abuse” from Heerdegen. She noticed that the couple’s son was present during “many” abusive acts and fears for his danger and also for hers.

She claimed that the abuse dates back to 2013, when she learned she was pregnant and felt “extremely isolated”. She claims that Heerdegen also made a comment to her during a holiday in New Zealand that led her to believe that her husband “could kill me”.

“He said the only way to feel sorry for me is if I was broken up into small pieces,” wrote Ricci, according to People. “That night, I hid all the knives in the cabin where we were. I feared for my life and for our son’s life. I slept in a separate room with Freddie and locked the door.”

She further claims that Heerdegen “attacked her brutally” on December 16, 2019 and that the abuse continued into 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic blockades. The actress claims that Heerdegen “grabbed my wrists and hands, dragged me and threw my body over the fire we have in the yard” last June. Weeks later, she claims he spit on her and also threw coffee and a chair at her. At the time, she called 911 and was granted an emergency restraining order, reports the agency.
