Christina Anstead has big plans for 2021! In the debut episode of Christina: stronger by design, who is now broadcasting on discovery +, the home design star brunchs in her backyard with her longtime best friend, Cassie Zebisch, and also with her current makeup artist who became a friend Shannon Houston. The ladies reflect on the last year they spent at home and their goals in the future.
“I really want to open a wellness center this time of next year,” Anstead reveals to his friends. “Like, start, buy … like a piece of land in Utah,” she shares, adding “I feel like this is calling out to me.” The mother of three continues to note that “with everything so crazy here in California” and “running on adrenaline”, an out-of-state retreat would be a good escape. Anstead also shares that a trip to Peru, where she could immerse herself further in shamanism and other spiritual practices, is on her wish list.
Although most people know Anstead for its design, Flip or Flop or Christina on the Coast, your passion for well-being is not new. The personality of HGTV, co-author of the book The Remodeling of Well-Being, has been a longtime advocate of healthy living, as well as getting in touch with yourself spiritually. In November 2020, she even opened up to fans on Instagram about how she planned to further explore spiritual healing in the new year.
While continuing her conversation with Zebisch and Houston, Anstead also shares that, despite the challenges of 2020, she was able to devote more time to yoga, breathing, sound therapy, meditation and journaling. She also had more time to work on her vision board, which led her to present her plans for her next wellness center.
While we wait for more details on Anstead’s next build, we will only be writing down some of our own goals. With fingers crossed, we see the design of the wellness center unfold on TV.
