Christina Anstead responds to critics saying she looks ‘too thin’

Christina Anstead is responding to online critics who commented on her latest photo and said the reality star looks “very thin” and suggested she might not be well.

Comments on Anstead’s body came after she posted a selfie in the mirror on Instagram on Friday, wearing a black sweater with the Chanel logo, jeans and black boots.

“My favorite costume, black on black on black,” she wrote, along with the hashtag #johnnycashvibes, honoring the black on black style of the deceased country icon.

While some fans commented on the “Christina on the Coast” star’s sense of style and how much they love her show, others were more focused on her weight.

The comments ranged from calling her “too thin” and “too thin” to “love you, please EAT” and suggested that she be a “pizza date”.

“Are you okay, Christina?” a fan asked.

Another commented on Anstead’s body and expressed concern. “Omggg !!! You are so thin. I hope you are well,” they wrote.

Anstead, 37, has since limited comments on Friday’s post and shared a response to critics in a short video posted in his Instagram story.

The comments prompted Anstead to respond to criticism of his story on Instagram.christinaanstead / Instagram

“So people are saying that I am much thinner and I need to eat,” she said on Friday. “This is really the weight I’ve always weighed. You guys just saw me having babies and go back to my original weight, so don’t worry. It’s okay.”

Below the video, Anstead included a caption that summarizes his response.

“Relax people,” she wrote. “I eat and eat healthy.”

Last September, the HGTV star announced that she and her second husband, Ant Anstead, were breaking up. Since then, she has returned to using her maiden name after the separation. Her name is now Christina Haack, while her username has not been changed to @ChristinaAnstead on Instagram.

The ex-couple, who have children from previous relationships, married in December 2018. They share a 1-year-old son, Hudson.

“I never thought I would have a divorce, let alone two,” she shared in a heartfelt statement. “I never thought I would have two papal babies – but sometimes life gets us in trouble. Instead of being stuck in these ‘setbacks’, I choose to view these challenges as opportunities to grow. So while some may judge me and spread rumors about me, most of you support me. And that says a lot about this world and where we’re going. “
