Such is the case with Christina Anstead, who changed her name in the midst of Ant Anstead’s divorce.
She will now use her maiden name, Christina Haack, according to her Instagram bio.
Haack, who achieved fame on HGTV, married Anstead in 2018 and together they have a son.
Their wedding was a surprise for fans, but it was also a shock for their families. It turns out that the couple got married at their home in Newport Beach, California, after telling their 70 guests that they would attend a Christmas boat parade, but later surprised them by exchanging vows.
Since their decision to end the marriage, Anstead has said publicly that it was not his duty to leave the relationship.
“It really hit me,” he told People Magazine. “If you ask anyone who knows me well, they know that I give myself completely. I had a lot of love for her.”
Haack was married to Tarek El Moussa before splitting up in 2016. Together, they have two children.
