Christina Anstead changes her name on Instagram amid Ant Anstead’s divorce

Christina Anstead is going back to her roots.

The 37-year-old “Christina on the Coast” star made a subtle change on Instagram, returning to her maiden name, Christina Haack, in the midst of Ant Anstead’s divorce.

However, the account name of the HGTV star still bears the surname of her second husband away.

Christina’s personal life has undergone many changes since September, when she announced on the social media platform that she and Anstead had made the “difficult decision” to end the marriage.

Earlier this month, the co-host of “Flip or Flop” presented a new tattoo inspired by Maya Angelou that says “Still I Rise” in black cursive in the middle of the back. She also showed a lovely addition to her family: a new Rottweiler puppy. Ant, however, spoke openly about the split, revealing recently that the split was not what he wanted.

“I think everyone knows that that was not my decision,” Ant told People magazine. “It really hit me hard.”

Christina, for her part, has “done very well” during the separation, her first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, said this month. The ex-boyfriends are still co-hosts on their hit HGTV show, “Flip or Flop”.

It appears that Christina and Tarek dominated the co-parenting of their two children – daughter Taylor, 10, and son Brayden, 5. She and Ant are also sharing time with their 16-month-old son Hudson. Over the weekend, Christina shared a selfie with little Hudson in what appeared to be a hot tub.

Just before the new year, Christina announced that she would take a step back from Instagram to “be present” with her loved ones on vacation.

She was also criticized shortly before, when social media trolls claimed she was an “absent mother”.

“When I am told ‘you must be an absent mother because you are not with your children’ – smh (shaking her head),” Christina responded at the time. “Wake up people. I hardly post anymore … and I definitely don’t want to post my kids every day to make this a contest for who is a better parent.

Christina argued that the lack of photographic evidence of her time with her children does not justify the charges she is receiving.

“It means the opposite – I am with them – I am present,” she said. “So stop parents shaming people, stop choosing sides when there is no side to choose. My point is – when you see things here, take everything with a grain of salt. There are many filters and fake smiles. I was also guilty of pretending. We are all struggling – some of us are better at ‘masking’ it. “

Christina and Ant started dating in 2017 and were married a year later in a ceremony in Newport Beach, California.
