Christina Aguilera jumps in the bath to toast until 2021

Christina Aguilera is bringing a very glamorous energy to 2021. On Instagram, the singer posted a video of herself in the bathtub while sipping a glass of champagne. Her post arrives a little over a week after she celebrates her 40th birthday.

On Friday, New Year’s Day, Aguilera posted a video of herself enjoying some rest and relaxation in a luxurious bubble bath. The singer wore only a cowgirl hat for the clip, which she captioned with the tinkling emoji of champagne flutes. Throughout the video, she posed for the camera in a series of sensual movements, while enjoying her champagne. In addition to posting the video, Aguilera also posted a “new year, this energy” slideshow on Instagram that included glimpses of a photo shoot she attended.

Aguilera recently explained the PEOPLE, while promoting your appearance and performance in the Amazon Prime Video comedy special Annually, that it is more than ready to leave 2020 behind. She said that if she had to make a compliment for 2020, she would keep things simple, saying, “Away with the old, with the new.” She went on to explain: “[2020] it was too much for everyone. Let’s separate from that, let’s make our peace and move on … I’m very anxious to let go of the old skins, get out of the old days. I think we all take a second and reflect on what is serving us [and] which is not so, we can move forward in our future and try to overcome 2020 on many levels. “

Although 2020 was a difficult year for many, Aguilera still managed to enjoy one specific thing during the year – requests to stay at home allowed her to spend more time with her family. According to the “Genie in a Bottle” singer, she is spending much-needed “quality family time” with her partner, Matthew Rutler, her 6-year-old daughter, Summer, and her 12-year-old son Max ( that she shares with her ex-husband Jason Bratman).

“I was on the road a year earlier between Europe and Las Vegas, so it was good for me to take a reflective break and a moment and assimilate everything on a personal level as a mother, as an artist and being able to creatively dig and make positive changes for my future, “she said. “I think we can all try to say that in our own personal situations in our lives.”
