The longtime host of the reality show franchise “The Bachelor” will not return to guide the next “Bachelorette” in her quest for love, the producers announced on Twitter late on Friday.
Former “Bachelorette” stars Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will step on the scene, Warner Horizon and ABC Entertainment said.
“As we continue the dialogue around achieving greater equity and inclusion with the ‘The Bachelor’ franchise, we are dedicated to improving the BIPOC representation of our team, including among executive producers,” said the statement.
The statement did not say whether Harrison would host the next seasons.
The statement said that Warner Horizon and ABC Entertainment support Harrison “in the work he is committed to doing”.
CNN is trying to contact Harrison for comment
Lindsay was the first African-American “single”. Matt James of the current season is the first Black “Bachelor”.
Harrison apologized earlier this month in an interview on “Good Morning America”.
“It was a mistake. I made a mistake,” Harrison told “GMA” co-host Michael Strahan. “I am not a perfect man, I made a mistake and this is mine.”
Later in the interview, he added, “I’m sorry for Rachel Lindsay and the black community.”
