According THR, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions will team with Netflix on a “family adventure resource” based on a single illustration by Alex Panagopoulos–one depicting a teddy bear physically defending a sleeping child from an invading monster. Entitled Teddy and the Night Guardians, the outlet reports that Josh Stolberg and Bobby Florsheim were hired to write a brand new script following a first draft by Luke Passmore (Arch enemy)

Amazon Studios hired John Wickby Derek Kolstad to write an action movie based on the popular manga series by Kouta Hirano, Hellsing. The series “reimagines Dracula as Alucard, a special agent linked to the Hellsing Organization, under the leadership of Integra Hellsing, great-granddaughter of Abraham Van Hellsing, to help them in their mission to protect England and the world from vampires, ghouls and other threats supernaturals. ” [Deadline]

You know, we are always having conversations, and this is a family, that whole group, if there ever was one. It’s hard to imagine or remember a time when I was on a set where it’s just a beloved group of cast, crew and actors and that’s just one of those things where we know we have a great idea that we want to do with it. We are discussing this. There are conversations going on and we are in the process of taking this forward. Headquartered in Berlin, Rise Pictures and Simonsays Pictures in Stuttgart are partnering on a “new dark supernatural comedy series” by Tali Barde, Claudio Franke, Dominik Hochwald, and Katja Winke about “a secret multinational corporation created by the Grim Reaper in an effort to more efficiently collect the souls of those who have left.” The story is said to “revolve around the mysterious company founded by Morte some 70 years ago.
