Chinese aviation authority punishes Donghai Airlines after crew members allegedly fought during the flight

You have heard of passengers who misbehave, but what about the cabin crew?

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) is preventing Donghai Airlines from expanding its routes, flights and capacity after a pilot and a flight attendant allegedly fought during a recent flight.

Wu Shijie, deputy director of the CAAC Aviation Security Office, recently announced restrictions on the Chinese airline after the February 20 incident, Reuters reported on Monday. The official did not disclose how long the punishment would be in effect.

Last month, the two men fought on a flight from Nantong to Xi'an, after a reported dispute over a passenger’s use of the plane’s first-class bathroom.

Although Donghai Airlines, based in Shenzhen, previously confirmed that the pilot and flight attendant were suspended after their “argument”, the carrier said the two were banned from working for the airline again, Reuters reported. The pilot will also have his license revoked, said Shijie.
