Chick-fil-A experiences disruption in the US credit card system

Chick-fil-A experienced a national disruption to its credit card system, according to an update on its Facebook page.

The problem resulted from an interruption in the fast-food restaurant’s outsourced supplier and lasted about an hour before it was resolved. Chick-fil-A was unable to process any credit or debit card transactions during the outage, and processing of mobile transactions through the company’s app was also limited.

“We apologize for the inconvenience, but at the moment, we are only accepting cash payments. This problem is affecting Chick-fil-A stores across the country,” said a notice posted in Frisco, Texas, on a restaurant page on Facebook.
