We have already written about how vaccination trends in the United States have given more than a whiff of Eau De Colonization, but this story that comes out of Chicago – as many stories that come out of Chicago unfortunately do – takes the cake.
Block Club Chicago recently opened a story this brings up many of the most sordid problems that perpetuate inequality in the notoriously segregated city and the country to which it belongs: greed, patronage, accumulation and the Trump family.
Loretto Hospital, a community care institution based in Chicago’s West SThe Austin neighborhood on Friday had its vaccination provision revoked by Mayor Lori Lightfoot after a report by the Block Club Chicago that the hospital was administering doses aimed at residents of Austin’s low-black majority neighborhood to people in some of the richest enclaves.
Those who skipped the line and received vaccines designed to already divested communities by heart disproportionately strong blow coronavirus include Eric Trump.

Why, it is clear, a Trump is involved.
If you are familiar with downtown Chicago, you will know that there is a monstrosity of the Trump Tower hovering over the city’s river. Dr. Anosh Ahmed, the director of operations at Loretto Hospital, who coincidentally also lives in the luxury tower, inadvertently revealed his own crimes by sending messages of pride earlier this month, saying he had “vaccinated Eric Trump” – complete with a photo of him and his eldest son, who looks like a vampire from the ex-president, to support his ostentation.
From there, it became known that Loretto had hosted an entire vaccination event for workers at the Trump Tower Hotel and downtown residences. A reminder: the vaccine doses attributed to Loretto by the city were to be administered specifically to blacks who live in Austin and continue to be vaccinated far below the number of people in the city’s richest postal codes, like those Downtown. Chicago vaccination rules limit doses to residents of 15 underprivileged black communities, people over 65 and frontline workers and other specialist groups – not including hotel staff.
When taken to task, Ahmed allegedly meaningless that he was just “kidding” about vaccinating Trump. But that was not enough to prevent city officials from shutting down Loretto’s vaccine supply, especially since I discovered that Ahmed was not the only chief hospital officer to divert doses to people outside the designated neighborhood for which they were intended. .
Loretto’s CEO – who is a black man named George Miller – went so far as to send 200 doses of vaccine to his Valley Kingdom Ministries International church in the suburbs of Oak Forest, almost 20 miles west.neighborhood for which they were made.
“In the coming weeks, our goal is to get more COVID-19 vaccines to administer because the demand is extremely high. We are attracting new patients who have never visited [Loretto] before, ”Miller wrote in a newsletter for hospital staff after vaccinating the congregation to which he belongs.
Miller was praised for putting his fellow church members ahead of the needy in Austin with an award from the church’s leading pastor on February 28, reports the Block Club Chicago.
It seems that everyone was getting an injection of vaccines, except for the many Austin residents who have not yet been vaccinated.
Ahmed, the CFO Loretto and Trump fanboy mentioned earlier, also connected the employees of a luxury watch and jewelry store on Chicago’s Gold Coast with doses of vaccine, Block Club Chicago reported Monday.
A witness to this event said that the beneficiaries of the vaccines were “white and privileged” and added: “I simply knew that I was not eligible”.
She even received the vaccine dose, complete with a completed form vaccine card.
Loretto denies having vaccinated anyone at the luxury store called Geneva Seal, and the hospital board issued a statement saying, “All the events reported were the result of a sincere desire to vaccinate as many of Chicago’s citizens as possible – especially people of color – ASAP.”
Since when is Eric Trump black or eligible under Chicago rules? Is there no shame and regret? I think it would be very decent.
The city is now conducting an investigation into the many “reported events”.
