Chicago Bears hypothetical trade for QB Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson’s ad campaign for the Chicago Bears is advancing at full speed. That was after it was revealed that the Pro-Bowl quarterback would consider switching to four teams, including the Bears.

Although Wilson did not request a replacement for the Seattle Seahawks, he is not happy with the lack of protection on the offensive line. So there are definitely tensions between the two sides. It remains to be seen whether this results in an exchange.

But even if Wilson is not yet in the commercial block, general manager Ryan Pace should be knocking on the Seahawks’ door for an opportunity to bring a star quarterback to Chicago – especially considering that it would save his own job after 2021.

Pro Football Focus proposed a hypothetical switch from the Bears, which would include some defensive studs and a couple of first-round choices.

The Bears would welcome Wilson for the following:

OLB Khalil Mack CB Jaylon Johnson 2021 choice of first shift 2022 choice of first shift

It is hard to say that there is no player at the table when it comes to negotiating for a star quarterback – especially for a franchise that has historically been poor at quarterback position. Even a stallion like Mack.

Although Chicago appears to be the least attractive of the four options – alongside the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders – Wilson would like an opportunity to reverse the Bears franchise.

Still, if Chicago offers more, the Seahawks already have Wilson’s green light to negotiate with the Bears. It can also help that the saints may be interested in demanding that Teddy Bridgewater and the Cowboys working to keep Dak Prescott in Dallas.

But we’re getting ahead of ourselves here. Seattle insists it has no plans to switch Wilson this off-season, and we’ll see if they stick to that plan.
