CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Virginia – Police said they found a woman seen in a disturbing surveillance video that they believe showed that she was attacked and kidnapped in a Chesterfield neighborhood on Saturday night.

Chesterfield Police Captain Michael Breeden said the woman was found safely in an email on Sunday at around 12:20 pm

Breeden said that an investigation into the incident is underway and that police officers will release more details when they have additional information.

Police were called to the N. White Mountain Drive and Rotunda Lane area to report a “suspicious incident” around 7:45 pm.

When the police arrived, they saw a surveillance video of an owner, taken at 7 pm, that captured a disturbing scene, which starts with a car stopping on the street not far from home.

“Stop. What’s wrong with you?” a woman can be heard screaming in the video. “Stop! Stop! Stop! Stop! Take the [expletive]… out of me. Stay away from me. Stop!”

As the four-minute video continues, the woman pleads, “let me go!”

“What are you doing?” she cries at one point. “Why are you doing this … No, I don’t know what you’re going to do to me!”

The screams intensify before the car starts and leaves at high speed.

Police said the video appears to show a person getting out of the car, assaulting the woman and then forcing her into the vehicle.

The police said the driver turned right on N. Enon Church Road.

Investigators searched the neighborhood in the hope of finding someone who might have witnessed what happened or who would be able to identify the people involved, according to the police.

The police urged anyone with information to contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 748-0660 or via the P3 app.
