Chester Bennington’s widow, Talinda, puts a touching tribute to the singer on what would have been his 45th birthday: ‘This life without you never gets easier’

Chester Bennington’s widow, Talinda, posted a video on her Instagram account to celebrate what would be her late husband’s 45th birthday.

In her video, the Linkin Park singer was seen dancing with her son Tyler while the hit PSY track Gangnam Style played in the background.

The musician’s widow also wrote a short message in the post caption to let her fans know how much her late husband meant to her and the couple’s children.

Bennington started writing, ‘Happy birthday … you would be 45 and yes, Tyler would like you to do that dance again!’

She continued: ‘This life without you is never easier or less painful. We miss you so much. We are going to celebrate you in many ways today. ‘

The singer’s widow concluded her message with: ‘Tyler teaching the girls and I this dance we will be just one. We will love you forever. ‘

The former Playboy model and the lead singer of Linkin Park had a romantic relationship for the first time in 2004.

The pair were to be married in 2006 and shared a son named Tyler, 15, as well as twins Lily and Lila, both nine.

Prior to his involvement with his second wife, Bennington was married to Samantha Marie Olit from 1996 to 2005; the couple welcomed a son named Draven, now 18, during the wedding.

The musician also shared a son named Jaime with Elka Brand; he also adopted Brand’s son from a previous relationship.

Bennington died unexpectedly of suicide in July 2017, not long after Linkin Park released its seventh studio album, One More Light.

After the death of their vocalist, the band took a long hiatus to mourn the death of their former bandmate, which lasted until April last year.

That month, the band’s bassist, Dave ‘Phoenix’ Farrell, said in an interview that new songs were in progress, although members were working separately due to the circumstances of the global pandemic.

The following January, Linkin Park released a remix of their debut single One Step Closer, which had been reworked by the hyperpop act 100 gecs.

The band then revealed that they would be collaborating with several other artists to provide fans with new interpretations of their previous tracks, along the lines of their 2001 remix album Reanimation.
