Chelsea transfer round: Frank Lampard’s last resignation, Haaland warning issued by Dortmund

With Chelsea struggling in the Premier League, Frank Lampard may consider diving into the transfer market this month to bolster his team and potentially save his own job.

The Blues boss hinted last week that there is likely to be more movement outside the club than inside him.

But after the Premier League loss to Manchester City on Sunday, the pressure is now on Lampard to overcome the current crash that has made them lose the title race.

And with the transfer window now open, there are many rumors about players joining and leaving this club.

Here are the latest Chelsea transfer rumors ….

Haaland warning issued by Dortmund

Erling Haaland is wanted by Chelsea and Man Utd

Borussia Dortmund boss Hans-Joachim Watzke has warned that Erling Haaland is unlikely to leave the club in the near future.

Haaland has been linked to transfers to Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid for the past few months, despite joining Dortmund just 12 months ago.

“I don’t think that will happen,” Watzke told Kicker.

“Erling and his adviser Mino Raiola know what they have in us.

“I can only advise you to do things like Robert Lewandowski. Haaland has given himself time to mature and become a world-class player in Dortmund. You will not be able to do that in a year.

“Because it is clear that if Erling leaves us at some point, he will just go to an even bigger club, and so many are not considered.

“If you join a club like – just to give you an example – Real Madrid, you have to be world class.”

Juventus confirms interest in Giroud

Olivier Giroud’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain with the opening of the January transfer window

Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo has confirmed that veteran Blues striker Olivier Giroud could be a potential target for him this month.

Giroud has regained form in recent weeks, but his future remains in the air, prompting Pirlo to suggest that he would be interested in the French international if he were available.

“He would be useful!” Pirlo told DAZN.

“The window opens tomorrow, we have already discussed with the club what we want to do and if there are opportunities.

“Perhaps an attacker who can run with our attackers.”

Frank Lampard dismiss latest

Frank Lampard is under great pressure as Chelsea manager

The pressure is growing more than ever on Chelsea coach Lampard after his 3-1 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.

According to The Athletic, Lampard is now under heavy pressure on the hot seat of Stamford Bridge.

Blues bosses are said to be ready to act if the bad results continue, with plans to find a replacement.

Lampard’s case was compounded by tensions that arose from marginal members of his team who are dissatisfied with the situation.

It is thought that a change in form would be enough to save their job, since they intend to return to the top four.
