Hudson-Odoi was replaced in the interval between Chelsea’s goalless draw with Manchester United on Sunday and then left with a brace on his leg.
But he will be in the running to start at Anfield, in a game that could be crucial to Chelsea’s four biggest hopes.
Tuchel hoped Thiago would also be involved in such an important game – but the club’s medical team advised a cautious approach to the Brazilian’s return.
Tuchel said: “Thiago did the first training session with the team, but he didn’t finish the last exercise – neither in pain nor anything, just to be careful not to take any risks.
“I assume he is training today, but he is not 100 percent, so he will not be joining the Liverpool team.”
Tammy Abraham is in doubt because of an ankle problem, but Chelsea have no other concerns about injuries.
