Check out this sweet promotional video for the new ASUS Chromebook Detachable CM3

Sure, we can be super excited about some other Chromebook tablets with ARM technology, like ‘Coachz’ and ‘Homestar’, but that doesn’t mean we’re not equally excited about the first real competitor to the very popular Lenovo Chromebook Duet that seems to be coming in our direction very soon. ASUS ‘new Detachable CM3 Chromebook (ugh, that name) seems to take all the good in Duet’s winning formula and refine it with an all-aluminum construction, slightly larger screen, a garage USI pen, a multifunctional holder , and a more spacious keyboard. If everything goes well and has the right price, this thing can be a success for sure.

To continue to stimulate the appetite of potential buyers, ASUS has released an official promotional video for the next tablet that does not do much to give us new information, but makes the device much more attractive. You can check out the video below and see what we mean.

Again, there are no extra details on offer, but the arrival of a promotional video next to the fully formed landing page and the availability of the leaked Costco, tell me that this removable Chromebook tablet is not far from a general retail launch. . One thing that will be crucial to the success of the CM3 will be how it stands out as a portable productivity machine. No one expects speed to be the # 1 quality offered here, but a slightly larger screen combined with what appears to be a reasonably sized keyboard could be an excellent device not only for consuming content, but also for getting things done.

A big part of that productivity will be whether or not this Chromebook with MedieTek can handle screen output compared to the confusion we have with the Lenovo Duet. Sometimes productivity needs a second screen and Chromebooks have always been great at this type of multitasking. The duet disappointed many of us in this regard, so I am hopeful that the ASUS CM3 will not fall into the same trap. I suppose we’ll know soon.
