Check out the latest rumors for Huawei P50 Pro 5G specs and renderings

It looks like a nightmare to Huawei’s consumer chief, Richard Yu. In 2016, he said that Huawei would overtake Apple and Samsung will become the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world by 2021. Certainly, earlier this year Huawei achieved first place by overtaking Samsung. But exactly a year after the day the US put Huawei on the List of Entities, preventing it from doing business with American companies, the US made a major change in its export rules and banned smelters that used technology of American origin to send chips to Huawei without a license. The United States said that all of this was being done for security purposes.

To prevent its Honor sub-brand from losing access to cutting-edge US suppliers and chips, Huawei sold the brand to a consortium of more than 30 companies for $ 15 billion. Honor as a stand-alone brand, you see, is unaffected by U.S. actions taken against Huawei. Honor’s loss of business this year has analysts who expect Huawei to be the seventh largest phone maker in 2021, followed by Honor in eighth place.

Those who counted Huawei down and out may be surprised to learn that the company continues to produce its usual flagship models this year, starting with the Huawei P50 line. Spec rumors for the P50 Pro have recently been released by Twitter informant @hereYashRaj. According to the tweet, the global version of the P50 Pro will have two different variants; one will run the open source version of Android, while the other will run Huawei’s own Harmony OS. You should remember that the latter was developed by Huawei after Google was no longer allowed to do business with the company. Chinese consumers will only be able to purchase the model with Harmony operating system.

The P50 Pro will have the Kirin 9000, the second 5 nm chip used in a smartphone after the A14 Bionic of the iPhone 12 series. It will also come with 6/8 GB of memory and 128/256 GB of storage. The circular camera module used in the Huawei Mate 40 series has been replaced by an oval module in the upper left corner of the rear panel. At the front, a perfect selfie pair can be found.
The Huawei P50 is expected to be equipped with a 6.1-inch to 6.2-inch AMOLED screen, while the P50 Pro will feature a 6.6-inch AMOLED screen. A 6.8-inch AMOLED screen will adorn the P50 Pro Plus. The screen of the P50 will be slightly curved or flat, while the screen of the P50 Pro will have a waterfall on each side. The P50 Pro Plus reportedly carries a curved square screen.
