Check out newcomer Guilty Gear Strive Nagoriyuki in today’s Beginner’s Guide

Two words: Vampire. Samurai.

Something a little different from today Guilty Gear Strive Beginner’s guide as Arc System Works finally raises the curtain on one of the new fighter characters. Stoic, scary, as stylish as anyone in GG story, welcome to the Nightwalker – Nagoriyuki.

I could write “Vampire Samurai” and leave it at that, but you deserve more. I will notice that Nagoriyuki’s huge structure dominates the battlefield, while his sharp Katana allows for a ridiculous range and an amazing poking ability. Nagoriyuki’s vampire tendencies also come into play through his moveset, with a “Blood Gauge” that fills up when he hits his opponent. Once completed, Nagoriyuki can activate a Fury mode, which extends its range and damage, at the cost of several special attacks.

Essentially, an efficient Nagoriyuki player will become more powerful as the fight progresses, but he will also enter a more risky game. This is reminiscent of the bloodsucker Mira from Killer Instinct, who also switched health and options for strength as the fight continued. In addition to this mechanic, Nagoriyuki has short movement / teleportation skills, a command capture and forward combos. Nagoriyuki, on the other hand, seems to be an absolute force to be reckoned with and will certainly make his impact felt when he opens in the spring.

THE Guilty Gear Strive The beta will be released on February 18 for all PS4 and PS5 players – regardless of PlayStation Plus status.
