Charlotte Flair tweeted this last night during Friday Night SmackDown and then mentioned again in Talking Smack this morning. It sure looks like the new WWE women’s doubles champions now have a name:
It’s a little generic, considering that it just mixes its own nicknames, but it still manages to be really cool. There is no telling how long this will really last, with Flair already teasing after the Raw women’s championship that Asuka is holding. We are going to WrestleMania after all, the season and Flair’s challenge for a singles title would attract more interest than his fight for the doubles titles.
A dispute for the singles title between the two tag team champions sounds incredibly attractive to me.
For now, they have a legitimate name to follow whatever they are starting to build together. What is the next? Maybe Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke, maybe Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler again. Hey, why not The Riott Squad, another team that really has a name?
