Charlotte Church holding mass assembly months after fatal coronavirus outbreak :: WRAL.com

– As state health officials warn against large meetings that will take place in 2021, a Charlotte church is hosting a meeting that is expected to attract hundreds of attendees, according to NBC affiliate WCNC.

The United House of Prayer is hosting an event to honor the church’s chief bishop. Bishop CM Bailey, the leader of the House of Prayer franchise, which comprises about 150 churches, is visiting Charlotte on Saturday and Sunday.

House of Prayer churches across the area are expected to bring members of the bus, reports WCNC.

In October, the Charlotte church hosted a weeklong convocation event that drew thousands of church members from across the country. The Mecklenburg County Department of Health said at least 208 coronavirus infections and nine deaths were attributed to the event.
