CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – The Charleston City Business Services Division claims to have partnered with the U.S. Small Business Administration to host a free webinar on the second round of stimulus payments.
The webinar will also be co-hosted by the Small Business Development Center.
Organizers say the webinar will provide important information about the second round of stimulus financing for small businesses in the Charleston area.
The title will be The Stimulus Round 2: What small businesses need to know, and will be done via Zoom from January 27, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am
Charleston officials say Congress has passed a $ 900 billion COVID aid package. Although that money was allocated for different uses, $ 284 billion was set aside for the Small Business Pay Protection Program.
This new package provides additional funding for those companies that did not receive PPP money in the first round, particularly companies owned by minorities and women, officials say.
The webinar will provide details on who can apply for stimulus funding, how much companies are eligible for, how to apply for forgiveness, important deadlines and available local resources, as well as an opportunity for participants to ask questions.
Registration is required for the webinar because space is limited, but officials say registration can be done on the Zoom website.
