Charles Woodson won the Heisman Trophy in 1997. This was his biggest individual achievement until Saturday night.

Woodson can now also call himself Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Professional Football Hall of Fame announced Woodson’s election to the 2021 Class during the NFL Honors show. Woodson, 44, won the honor in his first year of eligibility.

He was almost as convincing as Peyton Manning.

The Raiders made Woodson the fourth overall choice in 1998, and the defense played 11 years in Oakland – during two different passes – and seven in Green Bay. Woodson was nine times Pro Bowler and four times All-Pro and won a Super ring Bowl.

He won the honors of Defensive Rookie of the Year and, in 2009, was named Defensive Player of the Year. Woodson was also part of the NFL team for the entire decade in the 2000s.

Woodson ended his career with 65 interceptions, 183 pass separations and 13 defensive touchdowns.
