‘Challenge’ recap: Which player was defeated forever?

Only in The challenge can an idiotic discussion about frozen food turn into some serious drama.

Wednesday’s episode featured one of the most dangerous stunts so far, sending not one, but two challengers straight to the hospital. But these were not the only fireworks that we would see in Dual Agents‘third episode.

Resulting of a small fight between CT and Kaycee, Josh and Devin get involved after a simple “Big Brother sucks! “teasing leads to a busted Josh joint. (BB19 live feeders, we don’t suffer enough?) Although the drama did not become physical, did it affected the house of the week vote, sending two veteran friends for an elimination that looked as exhausting as Josh’s childish explosion looked. Lets break everything.

After last week’s shocking team change, Kyle tells us that he feels betrayed by Fessy’s alliance. (Wait: Kyle, you lied about your vote, man, but It’s ok, go away.) He now plans to join CT, Wes and Devin, also known as the challengers “with their backs to the wall”.

Fessy lets Kyle and a few others know that the “secret vote” is not that secret. Kyle comes clean about his lie, but then tells Wes that the entire “Stupid Brigade” tried to reverse the vote on him. (When did Young Bucks get a new nickname? Was I sleeping on it ?!) Wes is understandably upset; he thought the YBs were his friends. A fight breaks out, with Kyle calling Fes a zillion times, but that heat is not Fessy’s only problem. Cory expresses his disappointment that Fessy had told the house a big secret before telling her alliance members. It only took three episodes for this season to become deliciously distorted.

CHALLENGE ON | In “Road Kill”, two teams face off against a semi truck while it is being transported at 50 mph. Each pair must throw the other team off the side (in the net, of course), but for the first time in Challenge history, the feat will be done without harness. Here are the highlights:

* Devin / Nicole vs. Kam / Kyle ends in a draw, with a dislocated shoulder for Nicole.
* Wes / Natalie defeated Nany / Josh, although all four players fell into the net.
* Mechie / Liv vs. Tori / Cory ends in other shoulder injury, this time for newcomer Liv.
* Big dogs CT and Fessy come face to face, but unfortunately their fight is over.

The Challenge Season 36 LeroyLeroy and Kaycee ended the W in the match against Amber M. and Nelson.

Back at the house, the group realizes that all of Nicole’s things are gone; she was sent home due to her wound, leaving Devin a lone soldier. Liv, however, returns, but awaits a radiological report.

And that’s when what can be the stupidest fight in Challenge the story happens. Clearly the editors agree because Whitney Houston’s “So Emotional” falls off while Josh speaks and raves like one – wait for it – meat-ball! Moving!

DELIBERATION | Devin is on defense thanks to all the drama, but Wes tells him that he wants Tori and Cory named. At the meeting at home, the group has no idea if it is the day of the elimination of a boy or a girl because Nicole’s DQ may have shaken the schedule. Devin is the first to shoot, telling the group that he is aiming at Tori and Cory, which makes Josh speak against Devin. The house votes, and when Leroy and Kaycee get the results, Devin is, in fact, the committed agent.

THE CRATERA | Leroy and Kaycee take a big step with their big decision, choosing two-time champion Wes to face his friend. In “Snapping Point”, opponents are tied together by rope. They must run through a set of posts and detonate their station at the end of the route. Wes begins to dig a hole in the sand to anchor his weight. It’s a stalemate for a while, with the two players struggling to pull each other back. Devin then not only takes the lead, but closes the deal. He wins the match and the golden skull, sending Wes away.

Devin is now qualified to play in the final, but he needs to choose a new partner first. He chooses Tori (instead of Natalie? Same!?) Let it Survivor winner for Cory. “Getting a golden skull probably puts a target on my back, but guess what? I had a target on my back this whole game … Now, I have a golden skull in the center of that target. Now watch me go to work, ”says Devin.

The game started.

Who were you rooting for in that elimination and did Devin make the right choice for his partner? Leave your opinion in the comments!
