Cesaro connected if he thought about leaving WWE

Cesaro spoke to Joseph Staszewki from New York Post before entering the Elimination Chamber at tonight’s WWE PPV.

As Wrestling Inc. reported exclusively last month, Cesaro’s contract with WWE was due to expire shortly after this year’s WrestleMania. Earlier this month, it was reported that Cesaro would have signed (or verbally agreed) a new agreement with the company.

During the conversation, Cesaro was asked if he ever thought about leaving WWE – after being with the company for almost a decade.

“Yes. So, I’m extremely stubborn,” Cessaro laughed. “It’s a good and bad thing, obviously, but I really enjoy entertaining people and I really enjoy traveling around the world and that’s what keeps me going. I still believe that hard work is worth it and that’s what I wanted to do.

“Of course, you start to think, ‘Okay, what are the other options or other possibilities? How can [I] improve my position maybe through some external ventures or something? ‘But in the end, I just thought,’ Okay, when the right time comes, I’ll be ready and I’ll be out of the park. ‘ “

As for an opportunity, if Cesaro wins Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, King Corbin, Sami Zayn and Daniel Bryan in tonight’s Elimination Chamber match, his reward would be a WWE Universal Championship Match against Roman Reigns later in the evening. Cesaro noticed a lot like “KofiMania”, this is a time when WWE Superstars can really gain momentum by going to WrestleMania.

“Just two years ago, we had ‘KofiMania’, right?” Cesaro said. “This was started by [the] Chamber too. As much as I feel that every moment of the year is important, this part of the year that begins WrestleMania the season is out of date. It is important to get some momentum and it is also very difficult to get it. I feel like I did it. I am extremely excited. I am also excited by all the people who have supported me in recent years. Hopefully, I make them proud. “

THE Elimination of the Kickoff Chamber starts tonight at 6 pm ET with the main card starting at 7 pm ET.
