Celtics-Magic ‘Not considered close’

Fasten your seat belts, folks, it’s going to be an incredible 72 hours involving the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic and Aaron Gordon.

The NBA’s negotiation deadline is March 25, and the Celtics reportedly have a “serious” interest in the Magic striker.

The 25-year-old would have placed the Celtics at the top of his list of teams he would like to be dealt with. But it is believed that Magic will take its negotiations to the deadline to get the best deal for Gordon.

We cannot blame Magic, especially if they want to get what they are asking for. And while Boston and Orlando are discussing a switch, Yahoo! Keith Smith, of the sport, reported that an agreement between the two sides is not closed.

“Although Celtics and Magic are involved in commercial discussions about Aaron Gordon, they are not considered close at this time,” wrote Smith, citing NBA sources. “Magic is still asking for a big return for Gordon and hearing offers from several other teams.”

Gordon would certainly help the .500 Celtics, but it looks like a deal won’t close before the deadline day.

Still, anything can happen, and we are sure that these will not be Gordon’s last reports to the Celtics.
