Celtics allegedly ‘avant-garde’ for Aaron Gordon, here they are asking for the price

Aaron Gordon’s rumors are certainly not abating, especially with the Boston Celtics making an effort to acquire the striker.

Orlando Magic is reportedly involved in business negotiations with Boston, and Gordon has placed the C’s near the top of his list of teams with which he would like to be negotiated.

Regardless, a report has emerged that Orlando will likely receive calls from multiple teams by the March 25 deadline to try to get the best deal for Gordon.

Yahoo! Sports’ Keith Smith reported Orlando’s asking price, and it seems that Boston is offering almost what it wants.

“League sources indicate that Orlando would like two choices in the first round and a young player for Gordon,” posted Smith. “Magic is ideally looking for a wing, as a potential replacement for free agent Evan Fournier.”

Matt Moore of Action Network reported that the Celtics are the “pioneers” in getting the 25-year-old into a deal that would also include Fournier.

“Boston, several sources confirmed, offered two choices in the first round,” wrote Moore. “No other team on the board has yet to reach this level of supply. It is not yet known what types of protection are associated with these negotiations, but it is assumed that there will be some, if not significant, protections in the first rounds. “

Other teams include Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets.

Although a deal is not “deemed to be closed” at this time, it appears that the Celtics are serious about increasing their lineup until the last day.
