It was a busy 12 months for Celebrity Cruises, with the addition of the new Celebrity Apex and a move to an almost all-inclusive pricing model.

Here are the latest:

Back in action in June

Celebrity Cruises has announced its cruise back, as the Celebrity Millennium will be returning to St. Maarten from June 5. Starting March 25, guests can book new seven-night itineraries departing through August. The ship will sail on two different week-long itineraries. One will make a stopover in Aruba, Curaçao and Barbados and a second itinerary will make a stopover in Tortola, Saint Lucia and Barbados.

All-Inclusive Cruises

In November, Celebrity announced its new “Always Included” program, adding Wi-Fi, drinks and tips to the regular cruise ticket.

The program is now included on all trips and includes two upgrade options – which include enhanced internet, onboard credit, shore excursions and other perks.

Affected Newbuild program

In March 2020, Celebrity Cruises officially received the new Celebrity Apex in its fleet. Although childbirth was not delayed by the pandemic, it has become a symbol of new times.

Celebrity became the first cruise company to receive virtual delivery of a cruise ship. The ceremony took place through a video conference with employees of the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard.

Celebrity Beyond, meanwhile, had its delivery date postponed. Originally scheduled for delivery in the fall of 2021, the ship will now be launched in 2022.

Edge to the Caribbean

In a major deployment move, Celebrity canceled the entire 2021 European summer schedule for Edge. The program has been replaced by new Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale.

From July to October, the ship will visit the Eastern and Western Caribbean, making it the second Celebrity ship in the region during the summer. As previously announced, Celebrity Equinox will also be based in Port Everglades for Caribbean cruises during the period.

Grand Caribbean Program 2021-2022

Eight of the Celebrity ships will be in the Caribbean, including Celebrity Edge and the new sister ship Celebrity Apex.

  • Celebrity Edge will offer a complete winter season with seven-night itineraries in the Caribbean for the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
  • Celebrity Silhouette will make new itineraries in the southern Caribbean, including overnight stays in Aruba and Curaçao.
  • The Celebrity Summit will replace Celebrity Infinity for four- and five-night itineraries from Miami, as well as two new vacation trips to Mexico in December 2021.
