Leftist Hollywood celebrities are calling for action against gun control and gun reform after a shooting in Boulder, Colorado, left 10 people dead, including a policeman on Monday.
The dead victims are aged between 20 and 65, police said. The suspect was identified as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, a 21-year-old man from Arvada, Colorado. The authorities have not identified a reason.
The momentum for gun control came quickly from outspoken celebrities, who accessed Twitter to comment on the shooting and, in some cases, ask leaders to change gun laws in an effort to reduce or prevent further mass shootings.
The actress who became an activist Alyssa Milano wasted no time pressing for armed violence to be “eradicated” on twitter while she was pushing for an obstructive restructuring.

Mia Farrow simply wrote that “no civilian needs to carry such a weapon”, referring to the “AR-15 weapon” that the suspect allegedly used to carry out his attack.
Jamie Lee Curtis wrote 14 times in a tweet that lawmakers should “#BanAssaultWeapons.”
Actress Julianne Moore also expressed her outrage at the events that took place on Monday and shared a chart from a research organization to better illustrate her point.
“We shouldn’t have to live like this. In Atlanta or Boulder or anywhere else, ”she wrote on Instagram. “Our elected leaders owe us #MoreThanThoughtsAndPrayers to end our armed violence crisis – they owe us actions.”
She also asked people to support the HR8 bill that would do background checks required to purchase a gun.

“GOP … How would you feel if you lost someone you love due to armed violence?” Ellen Barkin asked in a tweet on Tuesday. “Would you still be holding your AK 15s?”
Director and actress Elizabeth Banks, who publicly criticized “stand your ground” laws as “BS”, also tweeted that gun control “will save lives”.
Comedian Billy Eichner tweeted that the country needs a “REFORM OF WEAPONS NOW” and predicted that a “post-Covid America will see more gun-related violence than ever”.
“Full Metal Jacket” actor Mathew Modine responded to a tweet that said Boulder’s assault weapon ban was blocked 10 days before the shooting at the King Soopers grocery store.
“When you live in a democracy – you vote and elect the employees who represent you, their values and beliefs. As I type, 9,535 deaths from armed violence occurred in the United States in 2021, ”he wrote.
Funny Wanda Sykes tweeted: “Too early? I think, it’s not early enough #GunControlNow.”

House of Cards star Michael Kelly also joined the discussion and tweeted that many of his military comrades believe that assault weapons “have no place in society” and that, at the moment, weapon reform is “common sense”.
