Celebrities are attacking Senator Ted Cruz for traveling to Cancun, Mexico, with his family, while Texas continues to face a major snow crisis that has left more than 500,000 without power.

Cruz, R-Texas, told Sean Hannity that he had lost power at his home for two days before deciding to travel and admitted that he started having “doubts almost immediately” after boarding his flight.

Photos of the senator started circulating on social media on Wednesday night, showing him at an airport while millions of Texans remained without electricity, heating or drinking water. His travels generated an intense reaction not only from Texans, but also from citizens across the country, including several Hollywood stars who criticized him for abandoning his voters.

In another statement on the social media platform, Farrow shared this “rule” with his followers: “if you are a politician whose state is going through an immense catastrophe, don’t fly to a sublime vacation spot. If you care about your constituents , you STAY AND HELP. “

Rosanna Arquette said that Cruz “is not fit to serve the American people in any way” and also referred to him as a “disgrace”.

“Heidi and I, we lost power for two days,” Cruz told Hannity, referring to his wife. “Our house was dark. We had no heating. The Republican lawmaker admitted that taking a vacation on the beach with his family while Texans suffer from the freezing cold at home was “obviously a mistake”.
