Celebrate Zelda’s 35th birthday with this orchestrated fan album by Wind Waker

Zelda

This year marks 35 years of The legend of Zelda Series. Nintendo announced an HD remake of the Wii title, Sword to Heaven, and is launching a Joy-Con Switch with the appropriate theme, but other than that, it seems to be holding on to the celebrations.

Regardless, fans are celebrating Link’s 35th birthday in every way and to join the fun and talented British composer Marcus Hedges – who composed for games like Century: Age of Ashes, Replace 2 and Ary and the secret of the seasons – set up his own orchestrated soundtrack by The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.

This album, as mentioned above, can be heard on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music and several other digital music services.

Hopefully, this will not be the last time we hear about Wind Waker this year. In fact, in case you missed it – it is rumored that the 2002 classic will return later this year, as soon as the HD version of Skyward Sword is released. So, what did you think of the soundtrack above? Does this bring back good memories of Wind Waker on the GameCube? Leave a comment below.
