Celebrate southern art at South Carolina’s ArtFields

ArtFields in Lake City, South Carolina turns what was once one of South Carolina’s most prosperous farming communities into a living art gallery that showcases some of the best art in the southeastern United States. More than 300 works of art, from paintings and sculptures to installations and new media works, will be exhibited in local venues that include renovated 1920s warehouses, art galleries, restaurants, boutiques and other businesses. Nearly 200 additional works of art created by student artists from South Carolina will also be on display. More than $ 100,000 in cash prizes are awarded each year in this celebration of art and the community.

After the eighth-year virtual edition, visitors will be able to socially distance themselves during ArtFields’ ninth year while enjoying the art of artist competition in 12 southeastern states, displayed at more than 40 venues in a 68-acre center.

The nine-day event also features live music, a portrait contest honoring health heroes as models, the Manufacturers’ Market, where artisans sell their handmade pieces, Plein Air Day and more. Don’t miss the art explosion in Lake City this year.

ArtFields will be on display from April 23 to May 1 in Lake City, South Carolina.
